SHIPMENTS

All orders, with the exception of complete transmissions will be shipped via UPS. All packages are sent fully insured, no signature required unless otherwise requested. Expedited shipping services (i.e. Red Label, Blue Label and 3 Day Select) are available, contact us for further details.

Complete Transmissions are shipped via common freight carrier. A commercial address is strongly recommended for freight delivery.

Orders must be placed by 3:00 p.m. (1:00 p.m. on Fridays) for same day shipping.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS

We will be happy to ship internationally and various levels of service are available. Contact us for more details.

PAYMENTS

We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. COD shipments are no longer available. J.W. Performance does not accept any form of electronic payment i.e. Bank Wire, PayPal, Bit Coin, etc… Established accounts may contact J.W. Performance for more options.

CRATING CHARGES

All transmissions must be securely crated and affixed to a pallet to ensure a safe delivery. Crating charges are included in the price of all NEW transmission orders. Transmissions sent in for repair will be returned in the crate which it was sent. If the crate is un-useable for return shipment (damaged or insufficient packaging) a crating fee will be assessed. This fee is non-refundable.

CORE CHARGES

Due to ever increasing freight charges, J.W. Performance does not assess a core fee. If you desire to return your used transmission core to J.W. Performance we will apply an appropriate credit to your invoice for the core. A core is not required for transmission orders.

REPAIR / REFRESH SERVICES

J.W. Performance will be glad to repair your existing transmission and/or torque converter, no matter who originally manufactured it. Lead times can vary depending on time of the year and current work load. If time is of the essence, please contact J.W. Performance prior to sending your repair for current lead times.

SAME DAY REPAIR SERVICE

J.W. Performance does offer same day transmission and torque converter repair services. You must contact J.W. Performance a minimum of 1 week in advance to schedule an appointment. Due to the uncertain nature of some transmission and torque converter repairs, we cannot guarantee a same day service will be completed in 1 day. Same day service repairs must arrive at our facility by 9:00 a.m. EST. Same day services are only available Tuesday through Thursday.

FREIGHT CLAIMS

All shipments are sent fully insured. Any damage claims must be made with the shipping company immediately. Do not send damaged material to J.W. Performance unless prior authorization is given.

TRACKSIDE SUPPORT

J.W. Performance Racers Support staff can be found at many local and national events. Transmission rebuild services available at most events.

SPECIAL ORDERS

Given the nature of special order items it is imperative that correct information is given to J.W. Performance. J.W. Performance will not be responsible for incorrect items if correct information is not supplied by the purchaser (i.e. drawings, schematics, etc…). There is absolutely no returns accepted on any special order item.

RETURN INFORMATION

All returns for credit or exchange must be completed within 30 days of original purchase. You must contact J.W. Performance for an RGA#. Credit will be issued in the same form as payment received. Custom built pieces or special order items are not returnable. A restock fee may apply so contact us for details.

ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED FOR RETURN

The following items are not accepted for return under any circumstances.

  • Media items such as books, videos and DVDs
  • Any Special Order item
  • Any modified/altered product

Warranties

J.W. Performance provides a limited warranty against defective parts and workmanship. The following is a list of the specific length of warranty of time for each part:

  • 1 Year: 7″-10″ Ultra-Comp Converter, Gear Set, Complete Planetary
  • 90 Day: Ultra-Bell, Ultra-Case, Ultra-Pump, Valve Body, Tailhousing, Input Shaft, Solenoid, 11″ and 12″ Converter, 10″ Sportsman Converter, The Wheel, Deep Pan, Sprag, Stator, New Transmission, Refreshed Transmission.
  • 30 Day: Shifter

J.W. Performance assumes no liability in the use of any product. If an item is suspected of being defective, it must be returned within 10 days for inspection after J.W. Performance has given authorization. After inspection of the part, J.W. Performance Transmissions will advise what/if an allowance is due. Any disassembly of the product done by anyone other than J.W. Performance will void any and all warranties/guarantees. It is recommended that you keep a copy of your sales receipt. J.W. Performance Express Limited Warranty does not cover any misuse, abuse, unauthorized repairs, unauthorized modifications, failure due to improper installation, or failure due to improper maintenance. Freight handling, removal, and reinstallation charges for replacement parts is not covered. Normal wear is not covered.
